CLE – Antitrust Law: 10 Things Every Lawyer Should Know

Please join us for lunch on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at 11:45am at Bilzin Sumberg for a CLE presented by Scott N. Wagner, Esq., entitled 10 Things Every Lawyer Should Know About Antitrust Law.  This CLE will provide an overview of the antitrust laws for non-antitrust practitioners.  Attendees will learn the basics of the various federal antitrust laws–from dealing with mergers to price-fixing conspiracies–in order to assist them with counseling their clients and identifying potential issues in their clients’ businesses.

About our Speaker:

Scott N. Wagner is a Partner in Bilzin Sumberg’s Litigation Group and leads Bilzin Sumberg’s e-Discovery Practice. Scott focuses his practice on complex litigation, including antitrust actions involving price-fixing, conspiracy claims, monopolization, tying, market allocation and predatory pricing claims. He has represented clients in federal multidistrict class actions, opt-out actions, multiple state class actions and international arbitrations, including those involving antitrust, intellectual property, products liability and qui tam matters.

Scott has conducted several internal investigations and guided corporate and individual clients through DOJ, FTC, SEC and state regulatory investigations. In addition, Scott served as legal counsel to a large national trade association, advising on antitrust, intellectual property and general commercial business issues.

Scott is actively involved in professional associations, and regularly writes and speaks on topics in antitrust law, e-Discovery and legal project management. He serves as Chair of the Federal Bar Association’s Section of Antitrust Trade Regulation and as Books & Treatises Chair of the American Bar Association’s Pre-Trial Practice and Discovery Committee.

Scott has been recognized by legal publications such as Chambers USA, Benchmark Litigation, South Florida Legal Guide and Florida Super Lawyers.

Scott earned his bachelor’s degree from Tulane University and received his law degree, graduating cum laude, from Georgetown Law.
