Law Clerk and Federal Judge Luncheon & Law Clerk Social Gathering

The Chapter’s Law Clerk Committee recently hosted two events. On February 3rd, we partnered with U.S. Senior District Judge Paul C. Huck to host a luncheon for current clerks featuring U.S. Circuit Judge Robin Rosenbaum as guest speaker. The more than two dozen law clerks in attendance were able to interact with Judge Rosenbaum in an informal setting. The wide-ranging topics of discussion touched on Judge Rosenbaum’s personal path to the federal bench and advice for clerks interested in becoming judges. The Miami Foundation, located just south of the Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. Federal Courthouse, graciously accommodated the event in its Community Boardroom. In the coming months, the Law Clerk Committee will be working with Judge Huck on hosting additional luncheons for law clerks, each featuring a different federal judge as guest speaker. Earlier in January, current and former federal law clerks also convened for a social gathering at Concrete Beach Brewery in Wynwood. The well-attended event included a tour of the brewing facility and provided clerks, past and present, an opportunity to mix, mingle, and network with one another.
