FBA Boardroom Lunch

On July 12, 2018, the South Florida Chapter held its first summer Boardroom Luncheon Series of 2018, featuring the Honorable Marcia G. Cooke as the distinguished guest.  Judge Cooke answered numerous questions from the attendees on everything from the trends in criminal fraud cases, to the preparedness of attorneys trying cases in her courtroom, to her favorite foods to cook over the summer.  She also provided particularized advice for young lawyers and techniques for maintaining a work-life balance.   The conversational tone of the luncheon allowed each of the participants to get an inside look at her approach to justice, which she described as “Not just a building in Washington, D.C.”  The lunch was held at the Judge Seymour Gelber & Judge William E. Gladstone Miami-Dade Children’s Courthouse in downtown Miami.   The FBA would like to thank Judge Cooke for taking the time to share her insights with our members, and to all our members who attended and came prepared with great questions for Judge Cooke!   Our summer boardroom lunches continue next month.  Stay tuned.
