FEDERAL COURT ORIENTATION FOR NEWLY-ADMITTED SDFL MEMBERS

On Friday, April 13, 2018, the Federal Bar Association, South Florida Chapter, in conjunction with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, hosted a New Member Orientation, which provided tips for practicing in the Southern District of Florida, as well as an overview of courtroom technology. Over 30 newly admitted members attended, including attendees who traveled as far as from Naples.

U.S. District Judge Beth Bloom conducted an informal swearing-in of the new admits. The panelists included U.S. Sr. District Judge Paul Huck, U.S. Magistrate Judge Patrick Hunt, Freddy Funes, Giselle Gutierrez-Madrigal, Michael Pineiro, Sowmya Bharathi, Mackenzie Duane, and Ruben Suarez. Jarred Reiling moderated both panels.

The programming received much praise from the attendees.   A special thanks to our judiciary and members of the bar for making the event such a success!
